Oh how quickly we let our days come and go… As we Depend on the “promise” of a lengthy life, and rely on the unsure hope, to have all of our sharp edges broken off by the chisel of time. To have every wish fulfilled, by the hand of experiences we are dealt.

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, and ultimately our Lifetimes, will be gone. Our once Vibrant faces, and endless story’s, our shiny awards, and proud achievements.  Reduced to decomposition in a stale 6 foot box, deep within the forgotten earth, amongst the rocks and worms and roots, Our bodys will lie, nothing to be said, nothing to regret. An envelope. An envelope that once held letters and pictures, and love and sadness. All of That Substance Has gone, to the ones it loved, and altered. The envelope lies still and cold and blank. Void of any adresses to go to, or words to be recieved.  If we let it, That is all we ever amount to , an envelope. full of Mundane work days, Placid experiences, And the sad words should, could, and would still lingering at the tip of our tongue.

It is all to easy to loosen the grip on our own destiny. Let our firm grasp of our betterment and reality and youth, and The Vibrancy to Live our lives, slip like putty through our fingers. And Slowly let the Vines, and weeds of the world take a hold, of our ankles and wrists, making us nothing more than a rag doll.. The worlds Puppet.. A Disgusting Complacency settles in… That There is nothing to be done or to change.. just take that first step onto the conveyor belt. Everything will be taken care of, Don’t worry, Don’t speak out, don’t think.    Society  Takes over, and Steers us where ever it wants us to go. A 9-5 job, eat, drink, sleep, Then do it all over again… That Which use to be our bight futures and unwavering hope.. A steady ongoing picture-work of green leaves, Giant grins, and warm embraces.  Gone to divided snapshots and gray Polaroids.

Tomorrow, Next week, Next year… The sad Words spoken by one who has fallen victim to the spell of the “Promise”, Always thinking there is time. Time to Sit, Time to Wait, Time to Lose.. So there they go,  falling like autumn leaves, One by one. Slipping away, Silent and Unnoticed. We Watch the sun go down Completely Ungrateful and unresolved. We Watch the sun come up fathomless to what it could hold.   Night .. Day..  Waiting for the next one. the next one, and the next one. They go, Never to be seen, or heard from again.

But.. There is always hope when the sun rises. As Long as the sun Rises, Things can still be done. That  is a promise to live by . But we do not know how many more suns will rise. We must use them as though they might be our last chance. Our last chance to prove something, to prove everything. The truth is, We are not runny putty, slipping into the worlds suffocating grasp, We can still Do what we feel. We can still Think for our selves, we can still Change the world, change lives, and Change History.. Or if we choose, we can just change the sheets, Change the Oil, and Change The channel.

We Cannot choose what hand we are dealt, But We can Change What We do or don’t do, use or dont use, Believe or dont believe. We can always change. We can Make our Days Mean something, other than a paycheck, a Grade, and good hair. The world needs People, who are not Giving up, Giving In, Or Giving Away. It needs People who are Committed, Fearless, And Ready. Who use Their Precious moments, for change. And  don’t think they have time for any thing else but That. ..Change.

Dont  let our society, our lives, or our world, be mindlessly and carelessly pushed around, Dont Ever think that nothing can be done.  Take control. Be a Pilot… The world Thrives on ” Passengers”.. Carelessly gliding through the clouds, and sipping ginger ale. Thinking that by sitting,  buckled to a seat, Trusting that the auto pilot  plane will get you to where you need to go. Then when you crash land in the middle of the desert,  you wonder why?    Shock the world, by actually doing something. It Can be a Small un-notable thing , or an unimaginably big accomplishment. Grab a hold of the Steering wheel. And slam on the Gas. The Word is Going Places people. Are we ready to Stand up, and Take our first step?

And then as the wind picks up in our lives, or in our rooms, they slip off the wall, under the bed, and in the back of our mind…
Even with the best intentions they have to permanently inspire us. And even if they were spoken by the mouths that changed societies. They are still just words formed in such an way that for a short Moment we feel a change of wind in our sails, a Hope that these black little symbols will reach into the dark slimy depths of ourselves and pull out something that we wish we always had. Truth is these quotes and these thoughts, are from people who have lived there life in such a way that those little black symbols crawled through the dark slimy depths and emerged out of themselves, they were born through their experiences, and emotions. How do we expect to be changed by other peoples little black symbols. Eh hem I don’t. Sure we can be inspired by others, but true change comes from within.   I AM ME AND IM MAKING MY OWN AND MAKING THEM COUNT. I AM GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD AS I SEE FIT!!

Two friends were walking through the desert.
During some point of the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, he wrote in the sand:
“TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE”
They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a swim. The one who had been slapped got stuck in mire and was drowning, but his friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he who had been slapped and now saved, carved on a stone:
“TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE”
The friend, who had slapped and saved his best friend, asked him, “After I hit you, you wrote in the sand, yet now, you carved on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand, where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away from our view and our memory, but when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone, where no wind can ever erase it and we can remember it forever.”

I went to Mexico for spring break and Built homes for the impoverished in Tijuana, It was an experience for all the ages, I learned things  and saw things I would have never thought possible. I LOVED IT. If you take anything from my experience just know that what ever you are going through in your life, someone Is ALWAYS worse off than you.  And to show your gratitude by helping the people who don’t have a whim of hope and nothing to live for anymore. Being there brought back to mind countless lyrics from Hope of America.  AMERICA ROCKS ITS TOTALLY COOL . U.S U.S U.S OF A….

In The Life of a Sponge

Why has this happened this demon of mine, the bright light I posses just won’t seem to shine. The roots of my timidness, fear and grief run deep within my soul, because I hide my light I don’t shine like a diamond but feel like a lump of coal.

The pain of pretending runs deep within my veins and all it makes me feel is scared and and ashamed.

Why, how, when? Will I be just me the one no one else can ever see?

Year after year I lose a little bit gain a little bit and I know that my destiny is the one I choose to pick.

So why do I go through life on a conveyor belt I can’t stop I can’t think I’m screaming for it to stop but no one seems to hear I cover it with a smile but all I feel is fear.

I’m unsure, undecided why isn’t it clear. Take, take take, and never give back if this keeps going I’ll be ready to crack. Why do I choose to take this lonely road it’s slippery, bumpy, dark and cold.

With no oncoming headlights to say hello, with no street lamps or road maps, where do I go?

What do I want? What do I need? Why do I follow when I was born to lead?

Unanswered questions, invisible tears, wandering eyes and strangling fears.

I’m done with the sleepless nights and constant grief, my arms are wide open ready for relief.

I will step out into the light, I will enjoy the fresh air, and prepare to take flight.

The destiny I choose will not be in vain, no more confusion and no more pain.

I will be Powerful, Defined, Radiant, and Clear and by myself the am ready to steer. The vacant eyed hermit will step out from the cave and from the dusty vocal cords like a lion would roar I am finally ready to be brave.

We are always Too much of this, or not enough of that. Too fat Too skinny. We don’t have enough money or time or love or friends. We use Too much Petroleum gas and natural resources, which we all know there is not enough of.
We take too much and give too little.
We spend too much time and money when we know we don’t have enough.
We expect too much But don’t show enough effort for it.
We want too much But we don’t need enough!

TOO TOO TOO: Much

It could start with. Too many people in too little of a place,  all driving  in too many cars, all sliding around in too much snow, going too fast, all going to too many places, to buy too much stuff, for too many people, and spend too much money. which will ultimately drive them into too much debt, which will, make them too sad, and they will go to too many doctors, who will give them too many pills, Which will lead them to an Overdose, witch will lead to too many deaths, which will lead to too many widowed parents, which will force them get to too many jobs, which will lead to too many un-parented children, which will lead to too many troubled teens, which will lead to too many criminals, which will lead to too much crime, which will lead to too much public worry, which will lead to too many ulcers and panic attacks, which will lead to more and more doctors, pills and addicts… which will all result in a big heaping overflowing bowel of spoiled alphabet soup  which trust me folks NOBODY likes.  we live in a world of excess my friend, There is just too much … and too much of a good thing is definitely not a good thing.

NEVER ENOUGH

Or a teen , who was not loved enough, who got pregnant not being old enough, and didn’t have enough money, so she didn’t eat enough, so the baby wasn’t healthy enough, so he did not have  enough time to develop , so he wasn’t born with enough to have a normal life, he was not loved enough, because she was not loved enough, he did not have enough friends, because he wasn’t big enough so, he wasn’t cool enough to play with them, so he didn’t have enough self esteem, so he wasn’t happy enough, so he didn’t go to school because he thought he wasn’t smart enough, so he didn’t get enough jobs, so he didn’t make enough money, and he didn’t have much of a life, and he  certainly did not have a strong enough will to live , because one night when he was not warm enough and not fed enough and not loved enough, he just gave up from the lack of everything of every one and of everywhere … There just was not enough..

Way too much or never enough. Does that sound about right, all of our lives are filled with unbalanced thoughts, unbalanced people, and unbalanced check books. with those things running around unsupervised, things can never end good.

Just like if you put too much weight on one side of a bowel full of marbles, they all come crashing down to the floor and get lost under the refrigerator and in the cracks of the floor. PEOPLE WE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE OUR MARBLES. Or eat spoiled alphabet soup, or have Premature BABIES. So let’s Quietly and Quickly invite some good old balance into the helter skelter.

I can hear you guys now.. Ok Ok too much information..We have had Enough already (Ha Ha, I had to do it)

So whether we have too much we are going to spontaneously combust. Or we are going to shrivel up and fly away in the wind because we simply do not have enough.  we have to take a step back, take a deep breath and take a big sugary bite of balance, and swallow hard.. and life might just taste a little sweeter to us all.. hey and we might be able to save all humanity as we know it.

Heaven knows with balance comes peace,  peace always brings  happiness and with a little dash of  happiness comes all sorts of good karma, and we all know good karma brings with it dang  good cookies, and it is a universal knowledge that with a good cookie you can invite the best of company, and with the best of company, you will find yourself in awe of how  incredible, marvelous, stunning surprising, unbelievable, and wonderful life really can be, and when you know that, your home free. So come on people help a sister out. sing it with me …B to the alance, already.
